COLOR
Taccia Black Jeans is a cool-tone black. It's certainly not one of the blackest blacks out there- it's a bit washed out and moves towards a dark gray in a fine nib.
This is a serviceable ink as long as you don't mind the slightly lighter color.

CHARACTER

This ink actually behaves great on most paper. It has a bit of a black/bronze sheen in swatches, but in actual writing it is very rare to see anything.
CONSISTENCY

This Taccia ink has a slightly dry flow in my experience. It makes it easier to use on cheap paper, but it accentuates how much of a faded black it is.

CONCLUSION
This ink shares some similarities with Waterman Intense Black, but if given the choice I find myself reaching for the Waterman ink first. Taccia Black Jeans is a totally usable ink, but in a fine nib it is light enough that it's not a satisfying true black.
Additionally, the Taccia bottle is squat and stout enough that it is a bit challenging to fill a pen with a #6 nib or larger. One extra tiny complaint that I have is that the bottle itself isn't labeled - bottles that have no way of displaying the name of the ink annoy me ever so slightly.
