COLOR

Robert Oster Mysterium is a bright violet-red purple that can shift slightly more to blue-purple on some papers

CHARACTER

This ink has a decent amount of shading. In swatches on Tomoe River paper there is a hint of golden sheen, but just a hint. I wasn't able to see sheen in any of my print writing.

CONSISTENCY

I found this ink to be fairly wet. It does have a tendency to bleed through, but not feather too badly.

Nebula, Clairefontaine, and Tomoe River paper

CONCLUSION

This ink was made as part of a limited edition run in 2022 for Endless Pens. They did announce that they had changed the formulation after I received mine to add more dye and bring out more sheen. However, I don't mind this ink being low sheen - I love the bright violet hues and dynamic shading, and if any of that changes with more dye added I don't know if I would enjoy it any more than I currently do.

DISCLAIMER: Pens and inks purchased by myself. Photos and opinions are my own.
