COLOR
Monteverde Napa Burgundy is a deep, dark red with only the slightest hint of a raspberry-purple. It's so far in the red camp that it really takes putting it next to something like Diamine Oxblood, which is more of a warm red/orange, to see the very slight difference.

CHARACTER

There is a decent amount of shading present in Napa Burgundy. It doesn't have a huge color shift, but there is enough to give a bit of variation on the page.
There is very little sheen in this ink. I really only notice it if I really push to make sure there's a ton of ink on the page.
CONSISTENCY

Napa Burgundy has a fairly normal flow. It's a decently well behaved ink, only showing minimal feathering on some papers. Bleedthrough can be a bit of an issue on cheaper papers, but it's a decently well-behaved ink.

CONCLUSION
Monteverde Napa Burgundy is a decently fun ink that is a bold color while also having a slight toned-down aspect - it's less 'in your face' than brighter reds, which in my opinion makes it easier to read.
