COLOR
J. Herbin Caroube de Chypre is a lovely warm mid-brown with a bit of a red shift. It features a lovely gold shimmer.

CHARACTER

This ink has very low shading. On some papers it shows a hint of green-bronze sheen. The best feature is the generous amount of bright gold shimmer.
CONSISTENCY

Caroube de Chypre is a decently lubricated ink. It impressed me with how well it distributed the shimmer - I didn't have issues that felt like clogging, and I could still detect some shimmer at the end of the page, even without having to agitate the pen.

CONCLUSION
I'm a fan of brown ink in general, and I rather like the slightly reddish hue that this ink takes. It really makes me think of chocolate and is a nice, cozy fall color that looks great on the page. It's also great that it works on multiple paper types.
