COLOR
Iroshizuku Yama-guri is a fairly dark neutral brown. It shifts a little more to the cooler side of the spectrum compared to many other similar browns in my collection.

CHARACTER

Yama-guri is dark enough that only on some papers is shading even slightly noticeable. It does have an olive green sheen that occasionally makes itself known during writing. The sheen mainly shows up on large ink drops.
CONSISTENCY

I found that this ink had a surprisingly fast dry time on some paper types, but still is decently smooth during writing.

CONCLUSION
Yama-guri is an interesting brown ink. It's a bit of a chameleon, shifting tone based on the paper that it is used on. In papers like Midori and Tomoe River, it has more yellow overtones, whereas on Nebula it leans more chocolate and on other papers it looks almost black.
