COLOR
Vert de Gris is a very subtle slightly desaturated blue-green. It leans a bit more to the blue-gray side of the spectrum, with just enough of a hint of green that it doesn't quite match with blue inks.

CHARACTER

This ink has a small amount of shading. It is fairly flat on the page, but occasionally there is a bit of color variation.
There is no sheening appreciable; I'm rather glad, for as much as I do enjoy sheening inks, this one looks great as the unobstructed color on the page.
CONSISTENCY

This ink has fairly normal flow and writes well and consistently. I've had good luck with it in a number of pens, and it behaves well on most papers.

CONCLUSION
I like this ink! It's a decently unique color that adds an extra bit of special to the 'desaturated blues' category.
The Herbin bottles are a little frustrating to me - it's such a challenge to draw ink from them with a large-nibbed pen. On the upside, they're certainly not prone to tipping over with such a wide base.
