COLOR
Birmingham Pen Co's Chrysan Themum is a desaturated mauvey-blush pink. It has elements of multichrome shading, leading it to look different on different papers. On some it shows more of its pink tones, and others bring out more salmony-orange-brown overtones.

CHARACTER

This ink really shines when it is allowed to show the variation in its shading. It ranges between a pale pink and a brownish-mauve. The formulation also leads to dark borders on the letters or strokes on some papers.
CONSISTENCY

This is a very thin, wet ink. It helps with the shading effect that quite a bit of ink comes out to sit on the writing, but on some papers that can lead to aggressive feathering and bleedthrough.

CONCLUSION
I'm not a fan of pink, but I find myself rather liking this ink. It's an understated pink that blends in rather than standing out. It's an interesting color that shifts depending on the paper, the lighting, and the camera. For example, scanned pages look much more purple than photographed samples. I also am fascinated that the liquid ink has a lot of green tones to it, which immediately disappear upon drying.
