COLOR

Dominant Industry Dawn is a lovely light purple. It is a lilac that shades into a nice lavender with some hints of a cornflower blue. It's very pretty in swatches! I love seeing the variety of tones that appear as the ink dries in different concentrations.

I do find that it is a very light ink that is too pale to use with extra fine or fine nibs. I even struggled using it with a medium nib! I think it shines the most when using a dip pen or flex nib.

CHARACTER

Wow, the glitter is intense with this ink. It is a very pretty glitter - a mix of pinks, blues, and silver.

This ink is also a 'chromashader' - it shifts from lilac to lavender when more ink is on the page, and this is further accentuated by the pink tones in the glitter for an extra pop of color.

CONSISTENCY

Inks that are packed with glitter and are also pale colors are notoriously finicky to work with. I found that this ink gave me some flow issues - it's an ink that I'm going to have to keep experimenting with to find a pen that makes it work.

CONCLUSION

This ink looks amazing in swatches, and when ink actually gets on the paper it is beautiful. It's one that I consider more of an art/doodling ink than a journaling ink. I will have to try it in very wet pens to see if my opinion changes.

Dominant Industry Dawn is a Cult Pens exclusive ink.
