COLOR
Diamine Midnight Hour is a medium bold blue with a deep red sheen. It's very similar to Diamine Majestic Blue, but both the blue and the sheen are slightly desaturated in comparison.

CHARACTER

Midnight Hour is such a fun ink. It sheens effortlessly on almost every paper. It is interesting to me that red-sheening bold blues seem so similar yet subtle differences make them stand out with their own personalities. It is funny to call an ink this bold 'desaturated', but Midnight Hour just looks slightly more...dusky, when compared to some of the other blues.
CONSISTENCY

This ink is pretty wet, which is amazing for the sheen levels. Astonishingly, it has low feathering in my experience, and even writes well on cheap paper.

CONCLUSION
Red-sheening blues are so fun. I love the contrast on the page when the bright blue shows through. It's such a cool effect, and I'm especially happy when I find an ink that I can use on cheap paper at work.
