VISUAL

The Sailor Profit is a small cigar-shaped pen. I picked up "Shining Blue", which is a lovely deep blue with a very fine silver-blue shimmer. The clip and cap band are gold and match nicely to the gold nib. I really like blue-and-gold pairings. The blue is a deep indigo with maybe a slight shift toward purple in some lighting.
TACTILE
This pen is very nicely balanced for its size. It is a lightweight acrylic pen, but the acrylic feels sturdy. The finish is glossy but not slick, allowing for a natural grip.
The section is a little thin and fairly short, so I find that I tend to rest my fingers a little further back, toward the cap threads where it is slightly wider. The threads are present with a bit of a step up, but not sharp.
PRACTICAL

I really like this bold Sailor nib. It glides across the paper but still has a slight hint of feedback, leading to a very controlled and comfortable writing experience.
The Profit is short enough that find it feels awkward to write without posting the cap. Fortunately, it posts very comfortably and securely, and I don't have to worry about the cap escaping.

OVERALL
Pros:
Reliable, smooth, and wet nib
Really lovely color and finish
Cons:
Slightly smaller than I'm generally comfortable with, but still a totally suitable size for writing.
The Sailor Profit is a lovely budget gold nib pen. I really appreciate that it gives such a nice writing experience under $100. I also like the round finials of the Profit in comparison to the flat finials of the Pro Gear Slim - it adds a little extra size to the pen, and a little extra presence.
