VISUAL

The Leonardo Momento Zero Grande takes everything I love about the Momento Zero and does it better. It's such a fun pen, and a satisfyingly large one. The Galattica series is a beautiful set of swirling glittery resins, and the Universe color is a mix of blues, purples, and oranges. Promotional photos showed a lot of the more blue-purple mixes, so I was a bit surprised to get a very orange pen! I love how vibrant it is, and the colors are very distinct. With this many contrasting colors it would not be hard to end up with a muddy result, but this pen looks amazing.
When uncapped, this pen has a large ink window framed in gold bands. The cap and piston knob also feature gold bands, and I love how the blue zones of the resin happened to be right around these gold accents.
TACTILE
This is a very large pen. I enjoy how thick and chonky it is, and it has such a satisfying presence in the hand. Even with that, it's not a particularly heavy pen for its size.
The section is comfortably wide, but relatively short. My fingers do rest slightly on the threads, which are noticeable but not sharp. There is also a bit of a step up from the section to the barrel, which can also be felt while writing.
PRACTICAL

This nib is very wet and juicy, and for such a big pen I decided to go with a broad nib. I did have some troubles with the nib tipping, as every so often I would notice some odd issues with downstrokes. Under the microscope, I realized that there was a wider gap at the underside of the nib. A little gentle fiddling narrowed that gap and now it works perfectly!
The Momento Zero Grande is a piston filler with a generous ink volume. The piston mechanism works as expected. The cap posts deeply and posts past the piston knob, making it feel secure and not a risk for accidents.

OVERALL
Pros:
Beautiful resin with vibrant colors
I love the ink window with its accented framing
Cons:
Out-of-the-box troubles with the nib that were fortunately fixable
There are times where my inner magpie just wants to rejoice in sparkles. I love this sparkly resin, and as someone who loves larger pens, I really appreciate the size of the Momento Zero Grande. I also find myself gravitating toward broad nibs more often, though I still find fine nibs more practical for daily use.
