VISUAL

The Gioia Bellavista is a beautiful oversized piston filler. The ivory resin has a lot of subtle depth to it, and I love how it looks alongside the rose gold trim. I also appreciate that the nib itself is rose gold colored; nibs that match the trim make me happy!
The ink window is large and framed by rose gold trim. It almost becomes the central focus of the design, and it looks amazing.
TACTILE
Oversized, thicker pens are my favorite types of pens. This pen certainly fits that category!
The section is interesting. The threads are at the nib end of the section. I find that they're a little on the sharper end, but my fingertips just barely come in contact with them so it doesn't bother me.
The cap band is super deeply textured. According to what information I can find online, they make the cap band with a lost wax process. This is where the design is first made in wax, then embedded in a mold material and melted to make the actual mold cavity for casting. It is quite the different effect from the more common engraved cap bands that I've seen!
The barrel has the brand and model name lightly engraved on it, along with a number that I think is the model number. The engraving is so light that it is almost invisible.
PRACTICAL

I find that this pen writes very well. It's a beautiful nib, a bit on the drier side, with moderate feedback. It uncaps in less than a full turn.
The cap can technically post, but it looks ridiculous and hilarious when posted. That said, I'm a chronic poster so I have definitely used this pen with the cap perched on the back of the pen looking ever so awkward. On the plus side, it grabs well and doesn't feel as if it is going to fall off.

OVERALL
Pros:
Lovely resin and a great pairing with the rose gold trim
Huge ink window
Cons:
Posting makes this pen absurdly long
I received this pen from a mystery subscription and I love it. This is one of the reasons I love mystery pen boxes - I would probably not have sought out this pen on my own, and I would have missed out. It is a beautiful pen!
