VISUAL

The Diplomat Aero has an incredibly iconic and recognizable style - a sleek, sloping cap and body, with pronounced ribbed grooves running the length of the pen.
This particular model is Citrus and Anthracite. The Citrus is a bright yellow-green, and the 'anthracite' refers to the matte black clip and section. I actually prefer this to other versions I've seen, where the clip and section are bright silver. I think the matte black contrasts very well with the green.
TACTILE
I'm a fan of the texture of anodized aluminum. The grooves on this pen are satisfying to touch. When writing I would say that I am aware of the grooves resting against my hand but they're not distracting or annoying.
The section is very sloped and also has a matte anodized texture. Due to the amount of slope, it's a bit slippery to grip. Relative to the pen size, the section is also a bit narrower than I'd prefer.
PRACTICAL

I love how this Diplomat fine nib writes. The nib is a Jowo #6 but it seems more firm than other Jowos I've used - it's smooth and very firm, which makes for a very nice writing experience.
The Aero is known for its very satisfying click-on cap design. It's rather fun to fiddle around and just hear and feel that click of the cap snapping into place. I love that it caps securely and I never feel in danger of it uncapping accidentally, yet the mechanism works so smoothly that it can be operated one-handed.

The Citrus and Anthracite Diplomat Aero was a Truphae exclusive a few years ago. I received mine as part of their subscription box, and I enjoy it. It's not a color that I generally gravitate toward, so it makes it a bit more unique in my collection.
